A Learning Journey

School Council

We are the School Council. We meet every week to discuss what is working well in school and what we can do to improve it. We gather the views of the children in our classes and bring their ideas to our meetings so that everyone’s voice is heard. We also run a daily tuck shop where we sell healthy food and drinks at playtime, and the money raised is used to make improvements to our school environment and resources.

Below is a calendar of themes that we focus on throughout the year, linked directly to our School Improvement Plan (SIP). Every half term, we meet with the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher to share our discussions, highlight what is going well, and suggest areas where the school could be improved from the children’s point of view. The School Council plays an important role in helping our school continue to grow, making positive changes that support everyone’s learning, wellbeing and enjoyment.
